| YES it's that time of year again when a lot of us pet owners feel sorry for our pets. No matter what we try to do to help comfort them, fireworks really upset many of our pets. Conventional treatments do not seem to work and it is so upsetting seeing your pet trying to hide and shaking in fear and distress. Well we have a solution by a company called Dorwest Herbs who were founded in 1948, and have over 60years specialist experience in companion animals and herbal treatments. They are the market leaders in their field and produce the largest range of licensed veterinary herbal medicines in the UK. For any of our customers who are dreading bonfire night we recommend you try two of their products. Scullcap and Valarian tabets is a licensed herbal medicine for the symptomatic relief of anxiety and nervousness, and has proved invaluable to many pet owners who have tried it. Valerian compound is a certified liquid supplement providing a quick acting solution to calm and control. It is absorbed quickly to provide speedy help for those who are fearful. It can be given in conjunction with the tablets for especially scary situations. A few drops may even be placed on a cat's bed to reduce anxiety helping them to become calmer. We have many customers who already use these products and are so happy with the relief it brings to their pet, so if you are worried about your pet on bonfire night, we recommend you give it a try. Please see this leaflet for full details. |

Name: HoneyBreed: American Bulldog Age: 3 yrs Spayed female Ideal owner: experienced Ideal situation: a home where she is the only dog. She is currently living in foster with another dog and 2 cats. Contact: Sue Heswall Animal Welfare 0151 342 3022 or 07751 722999 Subject to donation and home-check Temperament: Friendly nature with lots of energy, loves to chase the ball. Loves people, has lots of love and licks to give although can get a little nervous in crowds. Good around other dogs however ongoing socialisation needed to teach her some manners! Good recall (most of the time!), slight tendency to pull on the lead therefore ongoing obedience training would be recommended. House trained, likes to please and is quick to learn. Honey has had a poor start in life and was used for intensive breeding whilst being starved of food, therefore has developed a food aggression issue around other dogs. She is learning to lose this aggression however a home with no other dogs would be preferable. |
